Osteosarcoma Treatment With Organ Specific Killer Stem Cells & Role Of Kinase Inhibitors

Abstract

In a randomized control study including 230 patients suffering from Osteosarcoma (with or without metastasis) were involved in this study.45 of these patients were children suffering from Ewing's sarcoma. All of these patients were transfused with 60 million organ specific killer stem cells.Post stem cell boosters included Tab Imatinib 400 mg once daily and Tab Pazopanib 400 mg once daily.Bone scan at 30 days showed decrease dye uptake and the images showed that the lesions on bone scan started turning to grey color from black.Bone scan done at 90 days showed all the lesion turned grey from black color hence revealing relief from cancer. The oral medicines were continued till 6 months.190 patients were declared cancer free at 6 months.Rest of the patients were declared cancer free at 8 months post stem cell.

Conclusion

Organ Specific Killer Stem Cells are a potent and curative option for osteosarcoma/Ewing's sarcoma and are a successful treatment option and are much more useful than chemotherapy and radiotherapy.Imatinib and Pazopanib are a useful combination as post stem cell treatment in this case.
