A total of 386 patients were studied under controlled trial, all suffering from colon cancer.80 of these patients had mets in liver,70 patients had mets in kidneys. The patients who had no mets were transfused with 60 million intestine specific killer stem cells, those who had mets in liver were additionally transfused with 20 million liver specific killer stem cells and those having mets in kidneys were given 20 million renal specific killer stem cells also.Post stem cell boosters included tab sorafenib 200 bd and tab pazopanib 400 mg od.Jaundice disappeared by day 7.For those with mets in kidneys the creatinine started normalizing by the end of 3 weeks.MRI done at day 30 showed regression of cancerous mass by 30 to 40 %.The end of 4 months the colon showed no mass/lesion on MRI.Sorafenib and pazopanib were continued for 6 months.PET scans were done at 6 months which were negative for any cancer at primary as well as for mets if any.
Colon specific killer stem cells are a successful treatment option for curing colon carcinoma.Sorafenib and pazopanib are a useful combination as post killer stem cell augmentation in this case.Killer stem cell treatment in case of colon cancer is much useful and better option than chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
